1. Fit
- Fit easily in crush or headlock – No specialist infrastructure required
- Typical fitting time: 5-10 minutes2
- Cows usually resume normal feeding and rumination shortly after fitting3

2. Measure
- Ambient and erected air is sampled from close to the cow’s nostrils
- Onboard sensors track emissions-related data

3. Track
- Data offloads automatically when connected to WiFi and are quickly processed by ZELP’s Machine Learning models
- Users receive up to four readings per day for CH4, CO2 , and DMI in grams/day

4. Report
- Insights are given for cow, group and herd
- Results can downloaded (.csv) for further analysis

ZELP Sense tracks CH4, CO2, and DMI. Reliable mean daily CH4 totals can be provided in as little as 48 hours (see publications here).
CO2 and DMI outputs are currently in beta – users will be updated once these
features are fully released.
